What if we found ourselves in the middle of a labyrinth full of textures, colours? The idea of a labyrinth may be scary, but in Half of the Minutes the experience is sensorial. Materials from different origins make up a space where the body becomes the centrepiece, in an experience where touch and sensitivity are enhanced. An immersion in visual excess, where matter and body dialogue in a game of contrasts, between what attracts and what repels, in a reconnection with the senses.
The installation and its labyrinth challenge sensory movement and it is the visitor who is at the centre of its action. Half of the Minutes was part of the Official Portuguese Representation at the 15th Prague Quadrennial, the most important international performance space and scenography festival, where it was awarded the public prize, PQ Kids. This piece is also joined by Mirabolante, a complementary interactive artistic installation that resulted from a participatory activity created with the aim of the country, based on the theme: above all, the future wants to be plural.
