Bal Moderne is an original concept by Michel Reilhac who in 1993 created a contemporary dance project in which all dance lovers could participate. Several names in contemporary dance have been contributing with choreographic scores that comply with only two conditions: having a duration of 3 minutes and being easy to learn.

In 2023 Culturgest invites a selection of young choreographers to premiere their new work at Bal Moderne. They are young artists we knew as students from past initiatives, who now come back as professionals taking their first vigorous steps.

As always – and increasingly – this will be a collective dance experiment infused with reunions and get-togethers.
