This edition of Bal Moderne will present the absolute premiere of two choreographies taught by four dancers whose growth we have had the privilege to witness. Coming from participatory art projects such as PEDRA and ENTRAR, Culturgest regulars Beatriz Pereira, Hugo Cabral Mendes, Joana Franco and Ves Liberta surprise us by bringing Bal Moderne closer than ever, by bringing it to Palácio Galveias.

The new partnership with Palácio Galveias Library makes it possible for the last Bal Moderne of this season to take place outdoors, feet on the grass with Culturgest on the backdrop.

Bal Moderne is an original concept by Michel Reilhac that dates back to 1993. It is a contemporary dance project aimed at all dance lovers who wish to participate. To make it happen many contemporary dance choreographers have contributed with pieces created in accordance with two pre-requisits: to have a 3-minute duration and to be easy to learn.
