Caring for a country: claiming back what was, what is, and what can be

The object of Todos os Tempos se Cruzarão. Cuidar de um País is showing how architecture and art keep looking for strategies to assure a structured approach to territorial development in a context of desertification of deep country versus overpopulation in specific areas. Restoring and reviving the deepest fabric of population and place – reclaiming possibilities that didn’t come to be – can consolidate the territory. These are proposals that go against the tide and favour proximity, reinforcing the identity of places and their ability to structure our time. Armed with knowledge from different fields, they can be the trigger that changes the established unidirectional paradigm, and reverts the cycle of depletion and impoverishment, claiming urbanity, and reinforcing ethics and aesthetics.
