PHILIP GLASS
PHILIP GLASS
Written in 1975, Einstein on the Beach became one of the most iconographic and majestic stage productions of the 20th century and a masterpiece that launched the luminous careers of Philip Glass and Bob Wilson. The opera gravitates in a free-association mode about Albert Einstein, with three acts devoted to the theory of relativity, the creation of the atomic bomb, and his revolutionary vision of the universe. This exclusively musical version brings us definitively closer to Glass's composition, making us immerse ourselves in the breathless radicalism of this timeless and minimalist landmark, allowing the intricate and complex orchestral and vocal work to hypnotise and amaze us for almost three and a half hours of pure delight and enchantment. After the full version of Einstein on the Beach had its last performance in 2015, this is yet another rare opportunity to run this marathon with pleasure.
