Magali Caillet-Gajan has worked with some of the great names of French dance – Angelin Preljocaj, Phillipe Decouflé, Mathilde Monnier, Odile Duboc, les Carnets Bagouet – and was the assistant choreographer of various dance pieces recently directed by Boris Charmatz, such as danse de nuit, infini and 10000 Gestures.

This masterclass, passes through some of the stages encountered in the creation of the choreography of 10000 Gestures, beginning with the search for the unique and unrepeatable gesture belonging only to the person who created it. After this comes the rejection of repetition, the fabrication of a whole host of other gestures and the composition of a torrent of movements, a storm of actions, an organised chaos.
