Was it a stroke of luck — or maybe not? — that the name shaped the winding life of Memória de Peixe (Memory of a Fish), a project by guitarist Miguel Nicolau. First, with the debut album, with Nuno Oliveira; then, changes, in a duo with Marco Franco; for now, new formation, new possibilities with Pedro Melo Alves and Filipe Louro. But none of these transformations hindered Miguel Nicolau's path in taking his music to its ultimate consequences, navigating an angular and adventurous trajectory through instrumental pop-rock with a fluid but rigorous spirit, aware of his improvisation skills. Knowing that boldness is not always rewarded, Memória de Peixe has always proven the opposite to us since its debut in 2011: mythical shows, crossed borders, presences at major festivals, countless accolades, nominations, and awards from the national and foreign press. Nothing will change this third incarnation because III, after years of preparation, is a flourishing oasis of ideas, in majestic and sensual forms, with accessible and demanding fiction that suggests parallel worlds and strange coincidences. And as they do not lack imagination, they promise a unique concert for all the senses on our stage, in the correct measure of their frenetic ambition.
