Tempestade Mental (Mental Storm) attempts to make the most of the voices and listening capacity of the young generations. Without any safety net, without any adults and, almost always, without any internet. The concept is a simple one: young people aged from 14 to 18 gather together in an auditorium to debate a previously chosen theme, inspired by Culturgest’s programme of events. How do you stimulate a group discussion, without any moderation or intermediation, guaranteeing that the exchange of opinions is a real one, that it’s constructive and respectful? A multidisciplinary team with a lot of experience in the field will develop a script, making use of analogue and digital technologies, and, above all, implementing strategies that stimulate reflection and promote unity among the group. In order to satisfy people’s curiosity, everyone needs to be really young. The initiative is limited exclusively to youngsters aged between 14 and 18.
