Gil Mendo (1946 – 2022) was a dance programmer for CCB and Culturgest, and a teacher at the Superior School of Dance in Lisbon. He left a legacy of attentiveness towards those he worked with, and his often-silent care undoubtedly left a mark on the national contemporary dance scene.

In recognition of his work, he is now honoured with a programme devised collectively by the dance community, comprised of a marathon of performances and four roundtables focused on themes from different areas Gil Mendo was involved in: arts programming, education, cultural policies, and internationalization.​
