Partida... (On your marks...) is the first moment of the Joga o Jogo (Play the Game) cycle, where the cards are dealt and the rules of the game - or games - that will be played are defined. Some questions arise through the meanings and history of the game. Can artistic objects be forms of fun? Does the game democratise art? Through the rooms of the former Sintra Casino, now MU.SA – Museu das Artes de Sintra, it is possible to group the works from the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Collection which, due to affinities or a fondness towards, constitute the same premises for their enjoyment: Puns; Switching Game; Shadow Game; Mental Game; Waist Game; Out of Play; Fair/Dirty Play; Game of Luck/Chance; and Power Play. The die is cast.

The Play the Game cycle, taking into account the architectural conditions of the spaces and the historical, social, political, and cultural conditions of the communities involved, has its second moment, Largada... (Start Line…) at Arte Braga Forum, between September and December 2025 and ends with Fugida! (Running!) at the Águeda Arts Centre, between January and April 2026.
